Hahaha, unless you're willing to dish out cash for a custom enclosure and probably lose even more space I can't imagine it looking too pretty. I wanted a box for some good bass, I sacrificed the looks aspect frown

You could throw the sub into the spare tire part, but IMO it looks kinda silly. (no offense to anyone...)

i think i'm going to have to make a custom box... i just can't stand this thing taking up my trunk and looking horrible... i wouldn't mind if it at least looked half decent.. i mean for the show this comming weekend i had to buy fabricand i'm going to have to drape it somehow to make it look ok...

that's the way i'd do it... i had to make a custom box for my 3000GT (which has a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay smaller trunk)... doesn't look too spectacular but i put black marble contact paper on it and it actually doesn't look that bad... but i don't take that car to shows.. so it doesn't really matter to me how it looks...

I have never heard a custom box sound all too hot... but I guess if it's done right it'd be pretty good. Make sure it fits the specs for your sub though!

would you try a fiber glass setup inclosure, that would look nice, but then again, you dont want the thing to take up all the space hu...your imagination is your best look thumbsup

The space really isn't an issue i guess... it's just the bulky ugly look of the sub kinda just sitting there... It isn't really appealing at shows ya know? Fiberglass would look good, true... but i'm looking to re do my darn trunk in yellow crushed velvet, snd i don't know if i want the box to mesh, or contrast exactly yet. I have my center console yellow... and where my gauges are, that's yellow... and my seats are going to be re-done yellow/black. so i want to really keep that contrast through the whole car. my amp and cap are mounted to the back seat, so I'm realllllly limited to what i can really do. I wanted good sound, so unfortunately I'm going to have to sacrafice the space... and i know i have to keep the specs for the preticular sub i have... ugh... what to do...

pretty nice... love the head unit too... i have the same one lol... ok, but i only have one 12... really don't plan on getting another one... won't it look... off balanced? i was really looking for something to sit back where that plastic piece is in the trunk against the seats... i know i'm being picky lol... i've said it before though... you get one idea stuck in your head and you're screwed... props to you though sweetie for making them, they look greta, and thank you for the offer, i appreciate it... if you could make something to fit what i'm looking for, that would be amazing. or even if you know where i could get one?

why do you need a bigger box?? the subs made today (if you buy good ones) can handle very little air space... my box is small for my 3000GT and my friend robin (who knows everything there is to know about speakers) said that the box could be even smaller because my speakers are so efficient...

if you need a big box.. you've got crappy speakers...

No its not that you need the big box but it will not even sound close to the same. I got a w7 and it needs a bigger box or a ported box are ya callin that sub crappy?? Would just sound 1000000 times better with bigger ported box. Thanks Chad

I know you need a bigger box... the w6 w7 ect subs need a certain abount of enclosed air space to pump like they do... if you cut that off, your sound quality will be cut as well... which brings me back to my current problem lol.. what the hell am i going to do?

if you had 2x 12inch subs you can get a board kinda like the cover of the boot they come with and screw that into the boot and cover it with leather. if you dont mind having no space in you boot you could make a big fiberglass box as well you can get it sprayed yellow.
