OK, well anybody from the other day might have saw my post on the 02' celi that was on eBay (thread was locked https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...53546344)..well I got an email back from the guy finally and Im pretty sure he's 1) trying to get 3500 out of me and 2) going to hell. so here is the e-mail if anybody is interested.

The car is located in Clearwater, Fl.Like I've said the car is in perfect estheticall and mechanical condition. There were no accidents not even dents on the paint. The car was mostly garage kept.Still under warranty

I know that the price is small but I have a good reason for the price and I want to complete the transaction fast. Like Ive said the price for it is 7000 USD but I will accept a deposit of 3500 USD. As soon as the deposit checks out I will take a plane to US and take care of things.I will cover the shipping fees.

I recently moved with my family and now we are in Liverpool,UK.We just bought a house here but we ran into some financial difficulties. As this car is an US model the price to register it here is very high, also the shipping to this place, so I've decided to sell it in USA at a price that will find a buyer in a few days .

The car is in Clearwater.I have it locked up in a garage.Because of the distance between us and because many people are scared of the low price I want to use a third party or an escrow service related to eBay to handle the financial part of the deal.I have a 20,000 USD protection account with such a service and I intend to use it.

They will be our ESCROW service. They will hold the funds until you receive the car. Also I will give you a few days to test it.So I will get payed only after you test the car and send your OK on it to the third party.

If you agree with me please send me : your full name and address cause I will need those info to open a case with Square Trade and also for shipping.

I wait your decision asap

Thanks

Err...yeah, pnoy couldnt have been more correct about this guys plan. eek

Whenever you get a distant buyer far away who wants to use some time of escrow service/make payment through cashiers check you can assume it's fraudulent.

Fuck with him somehow!!

- Keep insisting you sent the $$
- Tell him you just received the car and it's real swell!!
- Tell him if he ever leaves Liverpool, stop by for a visit
- When he visits, knock his remaining tooth out!!

he speaks pretty broken english, and what got to me the most was that he used the term USD..he knows i am in the US.

i would report the seller..but considering ebay already pulled the auction im sure that they know something up with that douchebag.

yeah thumbsup told you so. I've see several emails just like those just for fun and they all show exact structure. Car or buyer located in different country, using 3rd party to hold the money and will only release it once the car was received.

eBay auctioned vehicles are mostly scam. thumbsdown
