Will 17" rims cause my car (with stock suspension) to sit higher up than on the stock 15's?

yea i will suggest you get a drop before you get those 17s. You will have mad wheel gap if you dont.

I want to get 17s as well, possibly something in a five spoke pattern. Any suggestions would be excellent thumbsup I posted a design on the 17s or 18's forum and no one liked them. Please post pics with your opinions

would a 1.5 inch drop suffice with 17's?

i think it depends on the tires you are getting...if you get low profile it shouldn't lower your car at all...

yea, i got 17's and the stock rims from that year were 14's(the upgrade ones actually), and the tires i got with it had the overall same diameter. the car does not physically sit higher, but the rims make it look as it does. go with the drop though, it's not good for the stock suspension having rims that big...

my 17's with tires are the exact same size as the factory wheels - it doesn't change the height of the car, but it makes it look stupid if you don't drop..

drop depends on what springs you get (which is dependant on how low you want your car, and the quality you want). Install can run you around 150$ - $200 but mine was only $100 because I know the guy... if you're good with cars it's apparently pretty easy, just time consuming.

What I did was buy rims, buy springs and kit at the same time, and I'm getting the kit installed next week (springs were installed last week). I just saved my money over winter to do it all around the same time.
Just figure out your priorities, and THEN figure out how you wanna plan to budget. It's a lot easier to plan out your cash when you know what mod you want next.
and IMO you should get the springs before mirrors.
