Hey guys, I purchased some Polarg turning signals from the celica store, but they have 2 knobs on them that are straight across from eachother. The stock ones have a bit of an offset, so they look kind of diagonal. If I get the Polarg 1156, does anyone here know if those are the ones that don't have the knobs straight across from eachother? I don't wanna spend another $30 on wrong bulbs...I have a 2003 Celica GT automatic.
Thanks, Kristin

Yeah there are 2 kinds of 1156 bulbs, one with 150 degree nipples on them, the other with 180 degree. Our cars need the 150 degree ones, which you can get from PIAA. So you bought the wrong ones...but like the others say, you can simply shave one off and it will work.

From... Garage Articles & Guides >> EXTERIOR Installation Guides >> Lights, Turn Signals (1156 M7 bulb) - FAQhttps://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_156879_0_collapsed_2__1.htmlThe M7 (Size 1156) is correct for the 2000-UP Toyota Celica turn signal. I know this a bit odd, but all 1156 bulbs, wherever you buy them from, are all two prong - they need to be modified for installation into the 2000-up celica. If you take out your factory bulbs and inspect them - you will see that they came with a "nub" on either side at one time or another. Then that extra nub was removed so that it would fit into the socket correctly... Go look at your stock light bulb and see for yourself. ... Install is simple, just choose what connector on the bulb that you do not want, and using a cement wall or curb to rub it off (or use a nail clipper to clip that "nub" off) Your bulbs will then fit perfectly. This is the same technique that everyone uses to install their aftermarket 1156/M7 bulbs. Here is another link concerning the 1156 Turn Signal bulbs... https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=41054
