think of reasons of y people hate on celicas ill start it off/ because deep inside they wish they had one!

it's outdated

it's slower than most sport compacts that are out now

it has a growing rep of being just all looks

it has many issues with interior noises

many people under rate our cars.

because there civics suck.

BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT U GET IN LIFE SOMEONE IS GOING TO HATE IT!

They dont have lift

Because a celica has what other cars don't. Because they will always know a celica in a crowd, on a street, and that's different. And we all know, they always hate what is different.

They have a reputation of being a girls car.

It's overrated

It's expensive

It's slow(relatively speaking)

However, it's still a good car, maintaining the car and driving it around are just fine.

Celica's look better than their HOnda..

"Looks fast" or "my V-8 can beat your four banger" I feel like slapping them whenever they compare 2 unsimilar engines

Every time I park my car I have to do the "1000 questions" thing...What is it, how much...and in the backround is always a snarling Hondamite. Nobody asking him anything...

yea it may not be the fastest but I have enough tickets anyway. This is the all out best looking compact car out there. It has the look of a high price exotic car mixed in. I wouldnt have one without a kit though. I have the aggresion package. i am on my second. my first was a fully loaded six speed gts and I ate new model maxima 3.5 mustang gt all day and any rag civic full of pepboys parts. My car maybe called slow but when i roll up to the lake full of hundreds of people with their other cars - heads turn. Yea im sure some hater with the most primered up civic mummblesto his boys that its slow but inside he sweatin just like everybody else. especially his ol lady thats day dreaming she is with me.

All cars have haters, all of them. SUVs, Sedans, Pickups, coups, sports cars, everyone hates something in some class or brand. You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time nor should you try.

Your ego should not be so fragile that you would care who does or does not like you, your clothes, your car, your whatever.

all these things makes ppl not buy celicas. but the reason why they hate celicas is completely different stories.
someone wouldnt scratch the car and steal emblems off the car because of the reasons listed above. in my town, its all about honda and toyota is nothing for them. so when they see a toyota, they wanna step all over it and be proud of it.

I hear ya. I dont let em bother me. If i did I would let out a couple of shots in their direction. I just enjoy my car like everone else on this site. Lifes to short, enjoy what you, your friends and your family have and f everyone else.

underrated. Until I bought mine I never thought much about them. I can tell you I didn't think the celis were this quick for a N/A 4 cylinder. there aren't many 4 cylinders n/a out there that's capable of running 13's with a few mods. with the aftermarket slowing increasing for the celica, you'll see more people breaking into the 13's in n/a form. shit most n/a hondas i see doing that are hatches.

jealousy... fuckin jealousy... cause the celica is just sooo goddam hot thats all there is to it.

I pulled up at a hanger in Brinkley. My friend thought it was a chick's car. I told hin to try it, we pulled out on the runway and let it fly! People arn't used to reving up to 8K, when he hit 6K the lift hit, and I had his up-most respect!

With a FEW mods? I'll tell you that those guys have put a lot of work and effort into their cars. I can guarentee you that 75% of the members on this forum can't run 15's in the 1/4. Aftermarket is NOT increasing for hte celica. If anything, it's increasing for the tC.

It's not that I hate the celica, I love it. However, don't get over your heads. It has many limitations. Be realistic.
