Well after a long afternoon I have about 80% of the rear conversion done!
I have the rear calipers drying as I type. Here are some pics of the work in progress.

whoa, great job bro. Your taking a big step. Drums are frustrating as hell to take off. I'm glad a fellow Gt owner is doing this. Is this from a GTS or is it a diff rear set up?

^The set up is from a GTS. I plan on doing the same thing soon, but I'm gunna get the SSBC kit.

I can't wait to see it when it's all done Tony! thumbsup

My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10
of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

It was from a GTS. I had the complete assembly, so it was just removing the old one an putting in the new one. I also put in Stoptech braided lines in F&R. Once the calipers are cured I can put them on and be done.

If anyone needs a complete rear drum assembly it's for sale! Knuckle, drums and E-brake cables. Only 5000 miles on them. thumbsup

Great job bro! Mind sharing a list of the exact parts you needed and where you got them from? I've been trying to find the parts online and it's not going too well. Can't wait to see final pics.

I can try to make one from the pics I took. The only pics I couldn't get were from under the car since I only had jack stands, so it was kinda tight under there.

I installed my springs too while I had it all apart. That wasn't fun... spineyes

If you can get the knuckle with the rotors, e-brake lines and calipers attached, it would make it much easier. With that you have everything you need other than new GTS brake lines. I got my setup from celicapartseller right here on EC. I searched all the junkyards in my area with no luck. Awhile back I saw "Fusion" was selling a set...

You could also go the SSBC way, but that is like $700 or so. I only paid $400 to do mine. Plus if I can sell the rear drum assemblies, I'll make some of that $400 back. grin

LOL I still have yet to get the rear strut assembly out of the car. It won't come out. It's stuck on the lip somehow and I can't get it to angle the right way to get it out. The damn control arm may have to come off to get it out... frown

How did you get it out?

Took off everyting that attached it. The rear Sway end link and control arm it-self was like 20mins to get them off... Than just had somone push down on the whole assemby and i used a rubber malet to get it out. Putting it back in is even harder... You need somone to really hold that control arm down.(watch out for brake lines though)

Heres a few more pics so far. I had the calipers red, but couldn't get the shade I wanted. I just stripped them and painted them yellow. I also painted the rotor hubs graphite. I finally got the springs done too! thumbsup
