Ok so i guess my car is going to be considered a total loss. If i want to AutoX ive nevor done it, but my friends are into it. The Gt sounds like it has more low down power so it would be better? Manual would be best for autoX?

youll be surprised how many cars are auto matics at a auto x event. Auto x focuses less on power and modifications and more on driver ability. run it stock for a year and then start to add sway bars springs and better tires.

And remember, the more mods, the higher the class.

Once again, sorry about your car man.
RedSunCelica said it right: you want to run stock first, and once you've expanded your abilities to the limit of your car then you can start modding. The only thing I'd say is to consider some decent tires (not the best you can buy, just something that'll let you have fun), they can mean a world of difference (especially if the car comes with some rather poor tires).
A manual is slightly better because of the shorter gears, but a good auto driver can beat a lesser stick driver.

And be careful of those Miatas. Those things live for autox.
