Well, the shifter got here today ate around 7pm and I decided what the hell I'll install it. I love how short the throw is and I think it looks better than stock. Well here are some pics:

I agree. It doesn't seem much shorter than stock.

The throw is considerably shorter. To me, it feels like if you went from 1st to neutral with the stock shifter is what it feels like when you go from 1st to 2nd with the Fidanza.

While the shifter doesn't look shorter in the pics, it is much shorter in person. I can tell a big difference just looking down at it.

Nice. I just got my B&M yesterday. Many are those throws short. I'm a little disappointed by how stiff it is, but I think it's gonna loosing up a bit.

i dunno about the b&m or the fidanza. but my twm loosened up a great deal. Its like night and day comparing when i just installed it to now. It is now lighter than stock i think. or maybe i just think it is because i dont remember correctly

here's a pic of the fidanza SS..i have one and at first i really like it but now i'm not so sure..seems as though it's not as short of throw as it were right after i install it, when it was still stiff..now it just feel kinda like stock..maybe i just got used to it..but here's a pic so you can compare..

hey, when you unscrew the stock gearshift knob, the leather boot is attached to a white plastic thing--if this white plastic thing is removed,

1. will the leather boot be able to be moved up and down the stick?

2. does the white plastic thing come off easily?

3. I am asking because I don't like the way the leather boot is always up against the stock shift knob. I want to lower it, exposing the silver metal stick.

My short shifter is so nuts... the gears are so so so so close together and you dont even have to move your arm... just your hand... was so hard to get used to
