I let my friend drive my car tonight and we went to an old wal-mart parking lot that turned into a church he goes to. So we couldn't get in much trouble since you can't see the parking lot from the road and no one was there... Well decided to do some auto x around the concrete island things and WOW! it was awesome... Going back tomorrow and will get some video if no one is in the parking lot

When I started modding my car, Auto-X was what I had in mind. I knew that my auto GT would never be that fast in a straight line, but it definately favors the road courses. Plus, my head car guy friend is big into the auto-x scene. He tells me there are plenty of automatics out there; they just push the car through the gears, generally never getting out of "2". All I need is a tight set of sways and I'll be good for the summer racing season.

I'm thinkin of getting into autocross before I go show with my car. My neighbor told me I should get into it. He has a Viper that he races. He's gonna help me out and get started.

Around here there are a lot of high end cars that do it, mostly Vettes. And most of them are automatics. On a rare occassion there will be a Viper, but it doesn't do too well. More of a straight line car I think. Some people bring out their cart cars, and let me be the first to say... THEY WHOOP ASS!!!
