does anyone know how? Everytime I turn my a/c on it smells like dry sweat for a minute and the smell goes away. Wth is causing this smell to errupt in such a putrid manner?
Also, how would I clean the filter or whatever so the smell won't be there?

isn't that the alge (?) that builds up from the condensation from the airconditioner...
i think most ppl go through that problem, there was a post on this ages ago. all i know is i paid the dealership to deoderise it, and it hasn't been back since (obviously this doesn't cure the problem, it just makes it better for a while)

Have you tired to put the air fresheners in the air vents so that the smell of the freshener over powers the gross smell of feet or what ever it smelt like.

I just put one of those little flat cheap air fresheners in under the glove box with my filter, cuase all the air is filtered through there and it makes my car smell great

So making the air filter will fix the smell problem and help with the dust buildup in the car?

always use the fresh air vent.. in my friend's car always has the circulating air vent instead so it smells..

My dad has a fleet of Tacomas, they all do it! My Celica does it, my lx470 doesn't. Isn't that strange? There is a drain line from the A/C condenser (the thing that drips water). could something be injected through that line directly into that tray? I wouldn't suggest anything like chlorine, but something else..FaBreese?
