I heard that this is a good source for rpm increases in autos, so does anyone know how to install or where to get one?

level 10.com makes them for our cars call them

yep level10 is the place, i would also look at a shift kit from level 10. it will make your car shift harder and faster thumbsup think that if ur a GTS auto if you put the tiptronic shift kit that level 10 sells that it will get rid of the pesky rev limiter, possibly allow you to land lift. im not sure though, ecu may just over ride it or something confused

here's what I found out if anyone is interested in the torque conversion which helps you race like manual trans.
The 2000 GT converter is an R&R unit. This means you need to send it in for
the upgrades.
The cost is 424.50, but we will deduct 50.00 to help cover the shipping. I
can set math as high as 3200 and the lock up feature will be upgraded to the
latest high carbon friction.

Unless you're experienced with auto trannies, you're looking at someone taking apart the tranny for you and basically keeping your car in the shop for a week until you get your torque converter back...it's a lot more expensive than it looks. Plus you're going to need a rental car or beater for a while.

If something goes wrong with the install then you're really in a hole...just letting you know what you're getting into. It is the best thing you can do to improve your launching though.

The torque converter is straight forward but time consuming to change. In a Celi, the easiest way is to unbolt the motor, snug it to the firewall on th opposite side & that will give you the room to slide the torque converter off.

A friend had a stall converter in his Montecarlo, it was definately cool. You jam on it, it revs up and then finally starts transferring the power to the road. The first 50 feet were pretty amazing. thumbsup
