Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior progress of rx7 front bumper fitment...

there was finally a nice day out today so, i decided to do some modifications to the rx7 bumper to really have a good fit & also test fit the trd sides.
what i did was i put on the front bumper & used a pencil to mark the areas that need work & then trim, i would do the whole process over & over again until it was to my satisfaction. It took me about 2-3 hours then my damn cordless dremel died & had to recharge it. It's a bout 65-70% done, all i need to do is trim a bit more here & there, & sand the whole bumper down, then off to paint!

nice job with the atrimming, but sorry to hear that you bought a "blue" class RX7 bumper.

what's the difference between blue & others?

looks good, have you tackled the rear bumper yet?

haven't had a chance to get to the rear yet..

basically all i really have to do now i just get some fiberglass cloth & resin to fix/ patch up some imperfections & strength parts of the bumper

That looks damn good, some paint and a rear and ur set and wow that rx7 front is really low

how are you filling any gaps? i'm gonna be doin the same thing with my VS replica soon...

i will be using fiberglass cloth + resin to hardened it.
Final step to shape & sand it down.

sweet...i have an rx7 bumper too in my garage with the same prob that needs to be trim down around the headlight area... fill up the side holes.

I have a lot of respect for people who take the time and effort to get the job done themselves... just makes the final product that much better Great work man!
