Hi I just upgraded from stock rims and tires to 17" Motegi MR7s on my 2003 GT. I have noticed at lower speeds (under 60mph) that the steering wheel hesitates when I turn the wheel. I am wondering if I need an alignment, or if with the larger rims my stock power steering is having a bit of trouble turning the wheel. Its no big deal, but I have noticed it and am looking for any suggestions. Thanks
Jeremy

have them re-check the balance. if the tires are out of blance then they will cause the car to vibrate.

Well I bought the rims with tires, and they came balanced. I can even see the stick weights on the inside of the rim. So I don't think its that. Also mine vibrates quite a bit after 60 also, and hesitates when I turn the wheel.

before 60 means balencing is off. above means either alignment, bad struts, or broken tire belts.

My steering wheel has a slight vibration at exactly 80mph. My summer and winter wheels/tires are all balanced and I've had the car aligned several times.
I've just kinda gotten used to it. I can always tell when I'm doing 80 without even looking at the speedometer.
