We dont get a lot of rain but when we do its alot, i was driving and it just started monsooning, i had to get it off the road somehow. Water was so high my navigator could barley drive in it in some area's. "when it rains it pours"

dude whatever you do! DO NOT RUN YOUR CAR UNLESS YOU KNOW THERE IS NO MORE WATER LEFT!!! I hydrolocked mine and pulled the coil packs and spark pluggs and shut off the fuel and just cranked and cranked and holy shit so MUCH water came out, the next day lucky gave me some more advice on what to do and my engine blew before I could do anything. needless to say I missed some water and had to get a new motor. but I was covered by insurance. Hydrolock is EVIL

cant say ive done that before... ahh crap

that sucks man. hopefully you got it all out or your engine will blow up like forcefed's did. I think there was something about the AEM/Ebay intakes that the bend in the bottom holds water instead of draining out because one of the bends is lower than the pipping so you have a place to store any splashed on water. from the sounds of the storm though sounds like you may have actually submerged it. haven't gotten any really bad storms yet here, did have a few inches when I first got my CAI and I drove around all day without a problem though.

I was just thinking... Since it does some damage in the engine can't you just open it up and just replace the parts that need to be replaced?
I've been doing a little reading on the subject and I know it does some internal damage, but it should be possible to replace the parts of the engine that need to be fixed rather then replacing the whole engine... I may be missing some vaild point but tell me if i'm wrong..
