so Im driving back from Moe's southwestern grill today, and I come around a corner in 2nd and go to about half throttle just to feel boost kick in. at about 4500 I hear BLOWWWWWW CHKa CHka CHka Chka chka...I had pushed in the clutch by the last little sound of compressor surge and the engine quits running and every warrning light possible comes on. My first though was Holy Sh1t I jsut blew my focking engine, Luckily I was really close to my house and I was able to drift into a parking spot, the whole time yelling profanities.

Well I look under the hood and everything seems normal, I check the emanage and its happy, then I start calling all my mechanic friends to try and figure out what was wrong. I wiggled all the IC piping and finlay figured out that the coupling between the Jpipe and IC piping is sort of loose, then inspect the IC piping and see a huge dent in it and a dent in the wheel well where it had hit it when it popped off.

So all it was was the sound of the positive boost blowing out one of the couplings which caused instant loss of compression and made the stock ECU go insane and shut off the fuel flow.

I hope thats all it was, Im still going to have it towed to the shop and get it on the rack for a shake down before we try to crank it again, ill keep you updated.

almost call it a night didn't you.

next time tell you mechanic to grove the piping where the couplings are tighten. This will give it some grip with the rubber. And don't use thoe cheap ass tighteners.
