If you have the tools, tech data and a friend that is willing to help you out if you find yourself in a jam, it's no problem!

Best thing to do is to read the maintenance manual for a month before the project is begun. Also go crazy with self sealing plastic bags, labeled with perminate markers, for organization. Label everything and take digital pics during stages.

I like to have someone else do my milling and boring. Ensuring proper bearing clearances on the crank is the only complicated part, but it is easy to. Do you have another vehicle to drive while this one is down, so you are not rushed?

Thanks for the info..well, i think i'll just get it professionally done. I dont want to risk destroying my engine..I could use my dads nissan pulsar or our 1984 tarago ifever my car is down..

When I find myself in a position like this, I ask myself what would General Motors do? And then I do the opposite!
