Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior How do you install aftermarket speakers in the back seat?

i went to best buy they said they didnt have the speaker brakets in stock but i doubt that is wat i was looking for. i figure it would be the same as the front.

I got my rears installed at a creditable car audio place. don't goto best buy. they had to build a custom mount for the speaker. because the rear speakers are built direclty into this plastic piece. it sux but gotta pay for the right install. but it was worth it for the speakers

i wanna figure a way i can get some 6x9's in there.. might have to make some boxes.. just dont know where i would put em

I had to make some brackets out of MDF.

WTF is MDF?

MDF = Medium Density Fiberboard

No need to use some kind of custom mount. Use the stock. Just rip out the original speaker, insert the new one, fasten it with four screws and you are done
