I'm considering buying a 2000 celica GT automaitic, and i was wondering if there were any cheap performance upgrades for them.

That is the slowest 7th gen you can buy... If you are wanting a fast car get a 6spd GTS... If you can't find one, then I'd say get a 5spd GT before you get an auto GTS.

*Edit: There are not very many cheap mods you can do to the Celica... If you want a cheap fast car get a DSM.

i have an 00 gt auto and it owns. but i wish it was stick. other wise i love it.

if ur getting gt auto there isnt much cheap to make it much faster frown always intake and exhaust. best thing you can do is trd supercahrger or turbo. ask slvceli thumbsup

Yea with auto gt your pretty limited on speed.

Reading these posts makes me wonder. I used to drive an Auto GT, upgraded to a 6 Speed GTS, and now contemplating if I should trade it up for an Auto GT, lol.

I love lift sure, but sometimes I wish I can just cruise with an Auto. And gas prices is kicking my ass, I gotta save up to experience lift...lol/j.k.

On the highway, the GT Auto aint all that slow. thumbsup

Be careful, my auto GT came missing a few things:

- 40 HP
- 2nd cam profile
- 2 gears
- clutch pedal

i just have a few things on my GT auto...headers/CAI/Groundwires/PUlleys...then probably exhaust..i might be one of the slowest...however my car looks damn sexy just pulling up into a crowded parking lot or shopping complex...having people turning their heads...lol...
