My car may be hydrolocked, but its been running fine but only makes a slight tinkering sound when in park but after idling it stops and the noise dissappears... Any ideas?? cry thumbsdown cry

i am prettysure all out cars make the ticking alittlebit, its hte valvetick i think. you should be fine. I belive when ur hydrolocked the car doenst tunr on smile

This is correct. If your car were hydrolocked, it would not be going anywhere

yeah you would be either pulling your hair fixing it and pray that its ok or paying out of your ass for a new motor or a re-built one.

when you got hydrolocked, you can't even start the ignition. i got hydrolocked once when my 00 GTS was submerged about a wheel high during a big flood here.

you'll want to do a compression test to be safe. also wouldnt hurt to pull off your throttle body and intake manifold and clean em up real good.
