i am prettysure all out cars make the ticking alittlebit, its hte valvetick i think. you should be fine. I belive when ur hydrolocked the car doenst tunr on

when you got hydrolocked, you can't even start the ignition. i got hydrolocked once when my 00 GTS was submerged about a wheel high during a big flood here.

you'll want to do a compression test to be safe. also wouldnt hurt to pull off your throttle body and intake manifold and clean em up real good.
Best 60' 1.959 best 1/4 - 13.7 @ 101mph
