Ok so i want to get a sub installed in my ride ... but i dont have a lot of money with me atm. I was at one of these hypermarkets(carrefour) and i saw this kenwood sub hooked up Subwoofer [kenwoodusa.com] hooked up with this Amplifier [kenwoodusa.com]. Now what i want to know is ... will the sub run perfectly off the amp or is it underpowered ?? Coz at the place the sub seemed to sound pretty niice ... real loud...

Thanks guys

Unstopable :
Well like i said ... i cant really afford much and this setup will set me back by about $ 115 .. so i pretty much have decided to get it ... but i just wasnt sure if the amp is good enough for the woofer.
Will this sub run off the amp properly ??

With that amplifier, the sub is being extremely underpowered. The Amp only puts out 120 watts RMS bridged and the sub is recommended to run 400 watts rms. I would recommend this Amplifier [cgi.ebay.com], it is a perfect match for the sub you are thinking of and it is relatively inexpensive, it's on ebay for around $120-$130. Also, the kenwood sub has good ratings on cardomain, so i think it is a good choice for your tight budget. But again, i would go with a stronger amplifier to get the most out of the subwoofer. Here are the sub specs on Cardomain [cardomain.com]. Hope this helps you out a little bit.

A good to decent system is going to cost you a lot of money, so I would save up cash for some good stuff. You just can't skimp on quality in this category thumbsdown

He's right... It would cost a few hundred to get a decent system. I have these subs.[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com] and the Fosgate P6002 amp, running 300W at each sub @2ohms. It sounds AWESOME, but the subs set me back 125 each, and the amp about 300...
