im thinkin bout goin wingless but i dont want to permantely...is there something that i could buy to fill in the holes that actually looks good not bodgy.

any ideas n help needed

uhh..no..only way for it to look good is to shave em off.

nope and you will ahve these little metal pegs sticking up that need to be cut off, filled down, or drilled out, then have to have the holes filled in and repaint ur whole trunk. if you go wingless its for good

actually if you dont mind having those little pegs. just use clear tape and close the four holes left behind. Just so you dont get water going through those holes

or else, you can go to a shop and pay three hundred dollars to have them shaved off correctly, then drill new holes in a few months whenever you decide to go with a wing again. putting tape on the holes was meant to be only temporarily.

it might be ghetto but it's temporary. i have mine covered with electrical tape. now that's ghetto..

when i take pictures i just edit out the knobs the tape actually blends enough

Ostensibly, there are these little black plugs that are available that are used to fill in the holes in the bumper if you take off your license plate. I read somewhere that they are black rubber or plastic, and work perfectly. However, I haven't been able to find them at this point. If someone knows, please let me know. I found some company that makes them for Porsches specifically, but not sure about fit, price and what you do about color, etc.

I took my own wing off last week, and I LOVE it, to me it looks way better without that fake piece of crap that has no aerodynamic value whatsoever (stock wing has no laminar shape nor does it have the proper angle of attack, both of which would be necessary to provide downforce as does a real spoiler).

I read a post from a guy a few months ago, who also took his wing off. He was the one who mentioned the little plugs for the holes, I believe. He also said that as far as the pegs were concerned, he left them alone. That way, should he change his mind, or want to sell the car, he can always put it back on. I kind of agree. I saw a wingless Celi on the freeway about a month ago, and had to catch up and get within about 20 ft before I could see the pegs. I figured if it was that hard for me to see, and I was looking for it, the average person won't even notice. Yeah, obviously it would look better totally clean, but as someone else mentioned, if you do that, you can't change your mind later.

im going wingless this summer...but i am shaving them because i am gettin my car repainted anyway...due to the fact im getting a kit and have some dings on my door panels

We have them in Australia but i'm not so sure about you guys in the US.

Dude basically go to a hard ware store or some place that sells like rubber, foam and stuff. Ask the people there they should have an idea what you're after.

Just another question cos i'm gonna go wingless too.

When i removed the stock spoiler, there was some greasy, black, thick shit around the spoiler holes. What exactly is this? I want to know so when i put the wing on again i can use that shit to seal it.

Friend of mine went wingless bout 6 months ago or so. What we did was drill out the pegs...you can do it from the underside of the hood...they are a really soft alluminum so they come out pretty easily. Then we went to home depot and bought some black silicone sealant to fill in the holes. I know it sounds ghetto but it actually didnt look too bad.

I think Im going wingless also, it just looks soo much cleaner and helps the lines of the car flow better, IMO Good luck and hope it all works out!!
