I have a 2000 celica gts and it came with the 16inch 5 spokes. I recently put on some 215/40 zr17 on my new 17inch rims.So i figured my ride height would go up about an inch but it has gone up almost 3 inches.Any one know why??

haha lol...there is no way that happenned...40/17 are like the exact same size as stock gts 55/16 the difference is so small you would never notice...you got bigger rims but smaller profile tires...if im not mistaken with 40/17 you would actually sit a lil lower than stock gts rims...there is now way in hell your car just raised 3 inches off the ground
surf...nothing else matters tearing up costa rica summer 05'

I checked the Normal ground clearence on a 2000 celica and it is 5.5 inches. When i checked my ground clearence it was a little over 7inches. so not 3 but 1.3 but still way too high... if i ever figure it out ill post wat had happened

And when i meet someone that their parents buy them stuff, they actually tell me that i'm unlucky to have non-loving parents..lol. Last time my mom bought anything for the car was 5 dollars on gas to get her some cigarettes.

If you drop it with sportlines it will be a tight fit with 18s

mine is dropped 2" with sportlines and i have 18's. my tire size is 225/35/18. i also have a veilside b/k. i haven't had any problems. my stock rims and tires are about 1" shorter than my 18's. it may be b/c the tire size on your stock rims.
