Hey i just got a AC Autotechnic Voltmeter and its not blue enough for me so i wanted to take it apart and change out the light. does anyone know how to take it apart??? i took off hte little nuts ont eh back but i need to get the ring off somehow 1st??? other quesiton is: The gauge has 3 wires, power, gorund and a purple one. I assumed the purple would be the reader one but cant i jsut hook that into the same place as the power?? i tested the gauge with my PC but when i hooek the purple wire into the same place as the power the needle didnt move. Any ideas

I would think the third wire is to dim it for night use. If it is set right, the less the voltage in the night wire, the dimmer the light.
The unit should be hermeticly sealed. no way to open it without grinding the edges, then separate the halves.

hey satoshi did you have these. waht does the purple do? and when i hooked it up to my pc the volts didnt change i may cut the cover not sure if i am going to keep them or not yet.
