I need some tires for my stock 16"s. I've narrowed it down to either the Yokohama AVS ES100's in 205/50/16 or the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S in 205/50/16

If you are an owner of either set of tires, please give me your word. thanks

Wow steven of all people i would have expected you to know. I have a set of AVS ES100's on my stock 15's and they're actually pretty nice street tires. a lot stickier than i had thought, kinda hard to make them squeal.

I have Yokos on my Celica and mom has Pirellis on her Jaguar. Out of the two I like yokos better. They seem to grip better and one of my moms tires blew the other day for no reason. It was really wierd. I would go with the Yokohomas

^ that could be due to her softer suspension.

Another picture. A lot of the open track racers like Kumho. I like my Yokohamas, but wish the compound would last longer on open track days.

They performed pretty good that day, but got a little "greasy" toward the end of a 6 lap session. I'd recommend them for the street, but I'm going to look into a different set of tires for open track days.

I hear ya, its hard to find a good tire thats affordable. I want to try some yokohama A032 (soft compound) but they retail for like $150+ per tire

I've also heard some good review about the new Advan Neova's but they're just street tires.
