Is 95 octane fuel good enough for the GTS ??? coz where i live regular is 95 octane and premium is 98 octane ... and i can save about $2-3 a full tank

anything 91 or higher is good enough for the gts.

91+ is better for the car, so yeah you can use 95, most of us in the US only use premium 93. Though you could possible get your car tuned for higher octane and run 98 and gain some hp. Is your car a US spec or Japan Spec, cause if its Japan spec then it should already be tuned for higher octane.

sweet get 13-14 compression ratio pistons and use the premium.. you get good extra HP.. but yeah the regular 95 for us spec celica is plenty good.. since the highest you can get in us is 94 and most places have 91-93

Um...I must be missing something because noone else said it... but the way they calculate octane where you live is different. Heck the way they calculate octane between gas companies is different. When they test gas for an octane ratings they test it two way, they test it in a lab to see what the "anti knock" rating is, then they test what the rating is in an actual engine, and they average the two together to get the octane rating that you see on the pump. thats why some place have "good gas" and some have "bad gas" one may have gotten a higher rating in an engine but lower in lab test, some may have gotten higher in a lab test but lower in an engine..but the two still may average out the same..plus different states all have different emissions laws on what additives they can add to gas.. FYI they also have different blends of gas between summer and winter..

Well my car is US spec .. coz i got it imported ...
Yea we used to get 91 octane fuel ... but after they got rid of the leaded fuel, 95 octane is regular.
What kind of tune-ups are you talking about anyway ??

Just because your car is U.S. spec does not mean that it is just magically going to consume the same octane where you live. 87 octane in the U.S. would be comparitive to 92 octane in Europe. I have been wrong once or twice but that is highly unlikely

We have 100 octane racing here at some stations in FLA There's at least one place here in the Phoenix area I know of that sells 100 or so racing fuel.

Its off by about 5. So your 95 would be our 90 and your 98 would be our 93.
