I'm going to be ordering some new rims soon (next week or so) The rims i'm looking at are 18 x 7.5 I plan on running a 225/40/18 tire. The overall diameter is going to be a little larger than stock so i plan on droping it with Tein H-techs (0.8" all around) I don't think I should go any lower because of the Kaminari Kit i have (don't want to scape all the time).
How does this set-up sound?
What kind of Shocks should I get?
Do I even need new shocks with this low of a drop?
Thanks for the help guys, Nick

You'll have plenty room. You can drop up to 1.5" with those size tires.

Thanks! Will the H-Techs take me to about the stock height after the larger tires are put on? Keep in mind i have a Kaminari body kit so i don't want it to get too low.

I have Eibach Sportlines (which lower a bit more) and those size tires and rims and the Carcept Kit. Until the tires wore in a little (after a few months), I had problems rubbing when I would pull uturns. But now that the tires have gone down a litte, I've got no problems at all. But I do have problems with not being able to drive everywhere that I want, forget about speedbumps. The car is very low, but not as low as when I had the 17s on there. And the Carcept kit sits lower than the Kaminari, so you shouldn't have too many problems.

Tanabe has a 1.5" drop too, but you wont rub with that set up. I have coilovers and my front is slammed and I don't rub at all.

Weasel, you might as well get the TRD/Eibach Pro-kit springs instead of the TEIN. The drop is mild, but it will look better. Also, the TRD 18" tire/wheels set is exactly what you are planning to get, they 18x7.5 using P225/40/18 tires. That is the perfect size for 18s for the Celica.
