I had my car did a major tune up at the Toyota dealer at 59,000 miles and now it's 65000 miles. Could the engine light go on because I needed a oil change. I know it's been long over due but I been busy. Looking at my invoice on the major tune up, I noticed that it said failed code 99. Does anybody know what this code mean.

Thanks

Never heard of code 99.

No, not changing your oil won't make your engine light come on. Maybe your oil light if it goes dry.

Take it to the dealer & get your code read.

I still have plenty of oils in there. I don't think I can turn off engine light. I had a similiar experience before on a Honda Prelude with the engine light on but it was a problem with the Oxygen sensor and Catalytic converter. I guess I check it with the dealer.
