can you guys drive for a week without hitting lift? due to high gas price i will TRY not hitting lift for the next couple weeks.

mmmmh it's not like i have a choice, one of my lift bolts is broken and i havent taken it out... cry

I've heard they'll only keep going up. Supposedly up to $4.00/gallon within the next two years. cry

Yeah, I can go without lift. I don't hit it often enough to really affect my mileage anyway though.

it does make a big difference I usually shift at 3500 or 4000

I have never experienced lift, i have gts 6 speed. I tried couple of times but no luck, i guess i am not the best driver out there, this is my first stick car. So whats the best way to do it?

all you do is run the rpms up past 6grand and when you hear a loud noise you'll you know when lift cuts in

I've been breaking ina new clutch for a week now, and not hitting lift is driving me crazy angry

i have a gts but mine is an automatic. has manual but not a clutch. ive got buttons to shift up and down with. new to celica just got my first one. im 17 years old and dont have a lot of money just tryin to catch my bearings. its a nice ride though. i like the stuff you guys have done to your cars. j/w what is lift?
