Well lots of people were telling me not to mess w/the ebay short rams. But i maned up and paid like $40 and also got a heat shield for another $19. My friend installed it on thursday and so far no cel (cross fingers). The only problem so far was that the filter was right up against the side of the car. I had to remove one of the plastic engine covers to get the filter right. The filter w/the heat shield makes for a tight fit. But the sound is great and it seems to pull a lil harder.

that does look pretty damn tight around the engine like that..but nontheless it does look pretty good..i think you should turn ur heat shield up a lil bit..seems like it's blocking everything under the filter..if water catches in it, it won't be good..

ya that is normal for short ram on the celi yeah heard the injen SRi with heatsheild has horrible fitment and is hard to close your hood over it. so same problems with any 2 dollar segment of pipe your going to buy for 40-250 dollars. I've got the ebay CAI with splash guard from Autozone for 15 bucks, check out my profile. I really like those engine cover colors gold and silver. is that how the GT covers are normally or is that a custom job.

thanks for all the compliments. only other problem you have to watch out for is the heat sheild rubbing on some vacume hoses. i only had the shield on for 1 day and it was already starting to wear. i put a peice of rubber against one and zip tied the other.
