i was just wondering which of all the muscle cars coming out or that are already out, you would pick as your favorite and their least favorite, i know most people here hate domestics here, but for the horsepower those cars offer and their prices i wouldnt mind having one. i guess my choice would be the Dodge Charger that's coming out, and my last choice would probably be the new mustang because it's so damn underpowered.

all GM did was take an already existing model from australia and put the GTO name on it. could've been so much better.

Were you wanting a kinda retro-look? The only thing retro on these is scoops and emblems! rofl They needed change, I guess the Holden was all they could come up with. They needed to get some of the old in there, maybe 68'-70'. thumbsup

yea the 06 cobra will be awsome. I mean if you want any domestic muscle gotta go with new z06, but if ur talking in the cheaper range, a nice Yenko 68, hell even a 68 SS camaro would be spiffy. My fav of all time is a stinray vett. i wanted one so bad but my dad woudlnt let me have it, they had a large problem with leaking oil in those years so he figured while i was in highscool it woudl be too much work. my sis had a 66 mustang GT, that was a hot ride. thumbsup thumbsup

The New GTO is awesome, despite that it has a very similar look of the Cavalier.

Vin Diesel drove an old GTO in xXx.

I still honestly prefer the old school american muscle

1971 Chevy Chevelle SS 454
1967 Ford Shelby GT 350 & 500 SS
1963 427S/C Shelby Cobra

And the baddest one on the block...

1967 Chevy Camaro Z/28

A Corvette is the best bang for the buck. You can't ever go wrong with a vette. Also GTO's have 450hp.

I'm just not a big GM fan, period. Would rather have a Viper. And, yes, I've been in plenty Vettes, a 67' 427/425HP is a neck-breaker! thumbsup Late model Vettes are "best bang for the buck," but have you heard about the service charges? thumbsdown cry

Cool, a forum where I can brag about my old muscle-car from 1983! I was a modder back then (did all my own work too) and didn't know it...

1981 Red Z-28 (loaded - air, cruise, power window, t-roof, mag wheels...)
Last year for the 350 V8
Borg-Warner T4 4-speed manual
Edlebrock Performer Manifold
Edlebrock 650 double-pumper carb
Hi-Power ignition system
Hurst Line Lock.
Rancho GT-3 suspension all around (poly bushings too!)
Some kind of hi-flow exhaust...I don't remember what I did there
240-watt stereo (2 x 120 watt amplifiers, one under each seat)
Scheel micro adjust full contour racing seat

Even though the car eventually ended up leaking every fluid known to man (including gasoline, brake fluid, freon...) I still got a wicked trade-in as a down payment for my brand-new '85 Mustang GT. The car was frikken' fast, and the Rancho stuff kept it flat even going around a corner at 30 mph - amazing since the car must have weighed close to 4000lbs (I nearly lost a toe to some windshield pillar trim - it was 1/8" steel coated in plastic and I dropped it 'cause it was so heavy eek) The two Ford salesmen that took it for a test drive came back white and shaking.

It has a sound that made bike couriers scurry to the sidewalk, kinda like a T-Rex. Lord, I miss that car!!

What I think is funny about vipers is the size of the pistons, they are about as round as a pop can.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the Ford GT, and I'm not talking about the Mustang GT... Do you not consider that a muscle car?

If we're talkin' vintage GT-40's...no, no mass-production. But, the new GT-40...YES! Maybe the best the USA has to offer anymore. thumbsup wave
