hey guys i told my friend i was going to buy a philips hid kit but after reading this i'm skeptical on buying a hid kit. Don't want to blow a lot of money on something that would be junk. But here's the article. I only read the part on misconception. That's where it tells about the faults of hid.

thats why i love my OEM HID kit. it may not be as blue as a 8000 kit up close but they made the nice etched lense to give the prism effect seen int eh beemers. that and its amazingly bright. thats why enyone lookign into a kit, i advise if you want blue for looks get 6000 or 8000 at the most, but if you want visiblity get a 4300 kit thumbsup I personally want to up ym 4300 ome hids to 6000 for a tad bluer color thumbsup

i just glanced the site, and i think it talks about aftermarket HID on stock projectors and the problems with glare.
that is true, but the cure for it is switching to valeo projectors. they give the OEM look and fix the glare problem and give the oem look

it was a good read for thsoe lookign into it. whitceli what are you thinkign of getting? 4300, 6000, 8000, or 12000. i belive 8000 puts out less light then stock. but obviously it looks better in blue wink i would highly sigges tnot going past 6000 if you want brighter thumbsup

i was either going for the 6000k ones or they have those 5000k ones. Don't really want blue but more of a super bright white maybe with a tiny tinge of blue
