Well me and a few buddies started the install of my C2 kit and new clutch. Got the engine pulled this weekend (found out a few tricks and pointers for anyone pulling the engine angry angry) installed the clutch, the turbo header, the turbo and turbo bracket. Had to modify the bracket some as the fitment is off.

I am having some fitment issues with the IC pipe to the throttle body becuase it is hitting the shift linkage, as well as the intercooler hitting the AC fitting at the bottom of the AC compressor nothing major just gonna need a little tweaking I think.

All in all the kit seems well designed. Gas, from C2, will be flying in (this wed 4/20) and staying at my house for alittle bit to help with the install to see what is going on with the kits on the US spec cars also we will be tuning the cars to have a very good base map for future kits... Don't worry GT owners as next weekend we are also installing a kit on a GT so Gas will also have his hands on a US spec GT. Now if that isn't customer service i don't know what is. thumbsup thumbsup

Nice!

Is that a SPEC clutch?
What stage?
They need very very long to break in, took me well over 1200 miles before it was really good.
you'll love it smile

Yeah man i was leaving them for you grin tongue The only thing i modified already was the turbo bracket but i can tell you what you have to modify to get that to be better. I don't know if it is fitment issue on the IC to Throttle body pipe or is i am not putting it in the corret location.

The emanage is hokked up to the ECU as well GAS. So right now all we need to do is run the piping to the turbo and Intercooler, Water lines, Oil lines, vacum lines, and put the filter on (don't forget to bring that please grin) So ya tomorrow at the AIRPORT> i will be hold a sign that says TURBO GUY grin

do you have to take the engine out to install the c2 kit? or are you just doing it to put in the clutch(it's not easier to take out the tranny to put in the clutch?) or to make it alittle easier?

^^^ Well to be honest the engine is actually pretty easy to pull. So that is why we pulled it.

Since i was installing the clutch anyway we just pulled the engine. The turbo install can be done without pulling the engine but you still have to undo the engine mounts and pull the engine forward to get the turbo and new header in so we just killed to birds with one stone thumbsup

Take my advice and break it in easy. it will take a while..
Also after hard accelerations with a slipping clutch the disc will heat up so much it will make the clutch slip

I have a spec stage 2 too, took me about 1200 mile to really break it in..
