is there a way to play songs from ur ipod from the car besides the tape deck because i dont have one and the fm tuner?

Nope, I don't think so. You will need a tape deck or fm tuner to play music on.

yea dude there is, for the stock deck on toyotas go to crutchfield.com. they have a few for all kinds of different cars and aftermarket headunits. i just got one for my pioneer and i love it

alpine "i-pod ready" headunits... never heard many ratings on it but its worth a look

well the alpine one is not good at all, only lets you play up to 250 songs. the pioneer one lets you play all the songs but everyones little problem with it is its a little slow when scrolling through the albums and artists if you have alot. i have 450 songs on mine and i do find that its slow but not so slow that i would return it. sound quality is excellent and its nice to just put your fav. songs in a playlist and let that run. i would reccomend it but just not if you have an alpine headunit.

thats not true about the alpine headunit. you can read up to 255 albums,255 playlists or 255 songs from one file at a time. ie 1 album can only have 255 somgs on it. i playlist can only have 355 songs. etc. i have over 20gb on my ipod and i can read it all
