(A) 2000 GTS, low miles m/t, price 14k no mods, dealership 2 miles away

(B) 2002 GT 5 spd, 65k miles, price 11.5k a couple mods that would save money, but seller lies 225 miles away

(C) 2000 GT, auto, 40k miles, price 9500, really really close, a few good mods smile

so... which one?
and reason why

For option A, what is exactly low miles? That is a bit pricey for an 00 GTS, I would guess that it has about 50-60K on it. Is it also Toyota Certified? If it is, consider getting A. If it does not, purchase one from a private seller.

C is pretty good in terms of price but do you mind driving an Auto? If not and the car drives and checks out fine, I would get C. I like Auto. Not fast, but still a Celica.

havent test driven a few GTS's i was dissappointed with the preformance gains compared to my 01 GT the auto (05) had a little better acceleration and the 03 (manual) didnt seem to have much better accelleration accept its RPM's were way lower with that extra gear when i got it up to 80.

Id say C and try to talk to guy down at least 500 Like someone else suggested and with the extra mods (if its what you want) then thats a bonus saves money and the most important thing, Time which no one can replace:)

just opinion

Choose (C) for show buddy and try to lower the price down to $9000. imagine this: $9000 for the car + 1200 for body kit and paint + 700 for rims + 400 for a trd spolier = $11,300 and you got yourself a nice looking ride eek eek thumbsup

or

Choose (A) for speed! grin

it already comes with a body kit, 800 plus paint 700, plus carbon fiber hood 620 plus paint 320, plus lowering springs 110, plus aftermarket leather 1200, plus aftermarket sunroof 1000, plus aftermarket carbon fiber interior 180, plus gauges 25, plus wingless 300 plus etc. smile

10k is a steal imo.

I'd go for A, but instead of paying what they're asking. Go to NADA.com and find out the retail value. I just looked it up and Average Retail is $13k (I assumed 50k miles, which is 10k per year on average since you said low miles). Use that as your negotiating tool. thumbsup

Too many miles for option B, if it was a 2000 then 65k miles would be good.

I would go for : -
(A) 2000 GTS, low miles m/t, price 14k no mods
Better go for a GTS if you have a choice, that is what I would have done else I would always think that if only I had a GTS

Get 10Celica10's car if it runs right. His ride is already nicely fitted.
