I GOT BEAT BY A 5 SPEED GT. I AINT DISSIN' AUTO, BUT ITS JUST GOT TO GO. SOME ONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO MAKE IT INTO STICK INCLUDING PARTS AND LABOR. (JUST A ROUN ESTIMATE) WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE IT BETTER PICK UP AND TO KEEP UP WITH OTHER CARS. I AM DESPERATE

a friend of mine had a auto cougar. he wanted it auto because his old car was standard and he hated having to shift all the time. with his cell phone, sodas, system, etc... he thought it would just be easier to get auto. about 3 months go by and he starts missing the standard transmission. he lost to me in a race (of course, its a cougar) and i think this pissed him off even more. he thought about getting a new transmission but then he thought about trading it in. with the new 35th anniversery cougars out now, with sunroofs, he wanted a new one. so he traded in his auto cougar for a standard one. i added it up, it costed him about 9 grand to do it. the money he loss for the trade in+the expense of the newer car... NINE GRAND! hes an idiot and i laugh at him spending that much money on a cougar. unless you can get a really good deal, dont trade it in. think of what my friend could of done with that 9 grand. turbo+bodykit+rims.. list goes on and on. hope this helps..

i think it would be wiser to trade it in for a manual GTS instead of trying to convert your car to a manual. it just ensures that it will be done right...

cross-ratio-mission by C-ONE is another choice, if you have sufficient money.
