so now that the celica is on her way back to stock and about to be sold, Im wondering what car is next. driving the family F-150 wont do. ill have about 5K cash for a good down payment and will be willing to take out a 10K loan on top of the cash. Im going to try and find a car that already has a whole lot of stuff done to it so I can get it for cheaper than if it was stock and not have to pay for thousands in mods.
Conditions: Must be RWD or AWD, cant exceed 15K, has to be turbo, would like a 2 seater with no roof but 4door will do, year doesnt matter much as long as its reliable.
I already have some cars in mind, Im just seeing if you guys have any suggestions that I havent thought of. If you have friends that are selling cars that meet those conditions let me know!

When I find myself in a position like this, I ask myself what would General Motors do? And then I do the opposite!

http://mr2turbo5.tripod.com/id11.htmlWell I was thinking about this MR-2, but MR-2s are just so damn old...another car I want is a RX-7 but they are not reliable and a maintinance queen and are also very old. I was thinking aobut a S2000 with a lot of miles on it...I donno though. Keep em comming

The only cars I could think of that is turboed, 2 seater and no roof is the MR2 turbo and the 300ZX. Well the only cars I like that met your criterier. I would go with the 300ZX.
Your thinking about an s2000? I thought you said you want turbo?

That MR2 looks pretty sweet. It's overpriced though, he's trying to sell it for more than my '01 GT with 60K could go for.
One option I'd recommend is to get a Miata and then turbo it. That would fit all your criteria perfectly, and it's comfortably under $15K too.

yeah S2K is the only non turbo car I would go for...I just checked some insurance quotes from my current company. DAMN! SRT-4 EVO STI are OUUUTT im talking 2500 a year for insurance that is fuging outrageous. S2K was only 90 bucks more every term and MR2 and RX7 where about 100 bucks less.
WHAT THE HELL IS WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES!! I mean Im 22 white male, Ive had 2 cars with this insurance company and absolutly no wrecks on my record, jsut 2 speeding tickets that where reverted to 10 over on a limited access highway which means no points on the license. why is the insurance so ungodly high on these cars??
USAA is the company I use

01-03WRX. Then just add a couple mods and you have a great all round car. Works in snow, has four doors, can fit kids in the back, about 15K, and will eat any car in its path. If you look hard enough you can find them heavily modified for that price. My friend just traded his 02WRX with 335HP in for a 05 BMX 328, and he only got 14,000 for it.

RX-7, get a FD or an FC. FD's look a lot nicer but a modded one will go for like 25k. you can get a heavely modded FC for less then 15 that can easily run low 12's. they also look nice IMO and they are 2 door, rear wheel, have a sun roof.

WRX. However, I want ot caution you against getting a used turbo car. People buy em and drive the snot outta them.
