And this is what a Celica GT auto sounds like with the butterfly mod:

Both of those hoses are vacuum lines, put a plug in that loose line.

Hello everyone i am a new member here.
Before i remove butterfly valve on my 2005 celica gt i have a few questions.
Is healthy to remove butterfly valve for car and engine? I mean are any known downsides or any problem after butterfly valve removal? What about CEL? If i disconnect battery when i do this mod there will be no CEL after?
So when i pull out butterfly valve i just plug hose which was connected to butterfly valve before removal? Is that only hose i must plug or they are 2?
And yes for what is butterfly valve in car also? Is it only for intake noise restriction?

Thank you very much for your help
Sorry for my langauge

Plug the hose with a screw that fits in the hose that will not get sucked in then you'll be fine. No CEL means you did it right.
