easier and cheaper to order a turbo and have it tuned/installed

well actually there is a turbo kit by Stafford Fabrications for only the gt that includes alcohol injection. Alcohol injection is used to boost higher and i think their high boost setting is around 8.5 psi

alchohol injected engines run at a WAY higher compression ratio than our engines. the alchohol would not ignite in our cylerners. I saw a show where they poured gasoline in a can and lit it on fire with a lighter, then they poured alchohol in another can and went to light it but it wouldn't. then they proceeded to explain why, as i did above. grin

not worth the effort unless you're getting into pro drag racing.

I think an alcohol injection for people might be something to look into..."now introducing the Insta-Drunk 2000. Become the life of the party in a matter of seconds!"

actually the "stafford engine" is all stock internals with a turbo kit. the only thing the alcohol does in his kit is boost the octane to prevent detonation and keep the stock parts from getting too hot during ignition at a high boost (12psi).

I think he meant alcohol injection to cool the intake charge temperature. Completely unnecessary unless boosted. Not only does it cool the air, it increases the effective octane of the fuel allowing for higher cylinder pressures without detonation/knock/ping/.
