I have blue parking lights, blue turn signals, tinted taillights and sidemarkers..and the nokya 7000k bulbs. I just got pulled over say 2 weeks ago at night...and a cop comes up to me and goes...do you know your one headlight is out? that was with all the "illegal" lighting on...and he didn't seem to care

it really depends on the cop. basically i know for sure blue blinkers/red headlights are illegal.
the blue replicates either a cop car or and emergency vehicle. they can even give you a ticket for trying to impersonating a emergency vehicle when your blue blinkers are blinking, if they want to be assholes.

In TEXAS Any lighting device mounted on the REAR of the vehicle must reflect RED, or if it is a SIGNALING DEVICE it can be RED, AMBER, or YELLOW. (not white, blue...) A TURN SIGNAL lamp shall emit WHITE or AMBER light if mounted in the FRONT of the vehicle. (Not blue, red...) A vehicle lamp that projects a beam with an intensity brighter than 300 candle power shall be directed so that no part of the high-intensity portion of the beam strikes the roadway at a distance of more than 75 feet from the vehicle. I believe underbody lighting is legal if you use AMBER or WHITE and there is no glare. Basically, only white and amber in front. Red, white, and amber in back. As for HID lights, Aim them so they hit less than 75 feet in front of your car.

It is amazing how things like this are totally based on the cop and the day of the week or which way the wind is blowing. You could pass 20 cops with not one pull over then cop 21 writes you a perfectly legally justified ticket. I am a huge fan of Knight Rider, growing up it was my fav show and got me into cars. So,I have a pretty sick red led scanner that is totally recognized by even young kids as a knight rider tribute. But just last week driving thru the square I was at a red light and a cop rolled thru the green light and happened to turn his head, see my car,and bust a quick turn and circle around the square faster than I could even get my ID and insurance card out. As soon as the light changed and we rolled thru he lit me up as I knew was bout to happen. Sure enuf, knight rider had to be turned off. The only thing that saved me from a ticket was that he went to the same school as me and was one year behind me and remembered me from school so I got a little verbal warning, not even an official verbal, but he advised me my luck would be a lot better to keep the scanner off when driving. Even tho I have had more than 20 incidents of cops seeing it and never getting pulled over,it just takes that one time, that one cop either bored or low on citations. Remember,if a cop isnt writing enuf tickets,it looks like he isnt working, trust me my dad was a cop. If you tempt fate enuf,it will bite your butt, cuz a lot of these lighting mods we do in the car world are actually "off road use only" mods and almost 99% of the time the law favore the cops, not us.
