i have a buddy who will help me lowwer my car but he said if i buy lowering springs, i also need "shocks/struts"

ive been thinking about going for a 1.5 drop all around... so i thought of tein s tech springs

but now im confused on this "shock/strut" issue. do i buy seperate shocks and struts, or are shocks/struts the same thing?
which struts should i purchase??

ALSO, would 17 inch wheels or inch wheels look better with a 1.5 drop on a tsunami celica? looking to purchase sum bargain 17s bcuz right now i have these ricer chrome 18's i bought with the car...

help me out please and give me suggestions! im ballin on a budget at the moment

I believe all you need is new springs and camber bolts so you don't ruin your tires. You NEED to have your tires balanced and aligned or you WILL destroy them.
