I have a 2000 GT and from what I can see the GTS is the Same block as the GT but with upgraded parts like the intake manifold. Does any one know what are all of the parts are to change my to a GTS.

If you really think you need the GTS engine why not just get an actual engine? I'm not very familiar with higher end performance mods but it seems like it may be easier to just swap the entire thing. You'll need a new ECU to deal with the new lift function and timing anyway right?

From what I've been able to gather there really isn't a big difference in the 2 unless your going high speeds, freeways or drag tracks so for what you spend just trying to convert your engine over you may be able to just upgrade your base and come out way ahead for the same price.

The prices of the engine's. Run 1500.00 & transmissions about 1100.00 just trying to. See if there is a cheaper way to do it.

For around $3,000 (moderate condition) to $7,000 (excellent condition), you could pick up a certified pre-owned Toyota Celica GTS from your local dealer.

I'm trying to decide between the GT and GTS. You mentioned $7K for a precertified GTS in excellent condition. I don't know much about the used car market but thought dealerships typically only offered pre-certifications on late model, low mileage vehicles (often still under warranty). Am I way off base?

GT=Torque and fuel economy

GT-S=Horsepower

Depends on your needs.

Also I only know the exhaust between the two models are interchangeable but the intake isn't.
