Hello everyone I just graduated from highschool and wiht luck bougth a 2000 celica gts my firts car can you belive it right.anyways now I'm in love wiht it and want to make it onef a kind I found this site and I was like ohh shit I got.some competition so anyways I plan to go to school and leanr more about cars and performance. Meanwhile dough I would like some help. My question is.
Does anyone know the limmit in watts for the speaker see I was at the junk yard wit a friend and we saw thesspeakers and took em out and saw hey were wiht he celica 300 watts anohms would that work wiht the celica wihtout having to buy any special cables or plants and if so then what would you recommend? Thanks.

I recommend starting from scratch. If you want good quality get legit parts. A decent head unit is maybe $100. Good ones run higher depending on what you want to run.

My set up was
Kenwood head unit routed through a boston acoustic amp. It had a max output of 250 but was split to all of the interior speakers. These were all pioneer.

In theory you could skip the amp and just replace your interior speakers but they wont pop as hard. I didn't have subs but most of my music doesnt require epic bass.

Basic version:
Get head unit
Get speakers.
Replace.

Celicas are amazingly easy to work on. you gots this ; )

So just forget about those speakers.
Any website or store you guys recommend for buying decent speakers for.not that high of price? I stil plan to go to colllege and pay bills haha. Thanks
