Hello everyone!

I recently purchased a 2000 Celica GTS and really love the car, the only problem is that i would like to play my ipod in the car without using the cassette-auxiliary plug in my ipod because it is staticy. I then purchased an aftermarket radio, and this harness, http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120708113/Toyota-Receiver-Wiring-Harness.html

The only problem is that there are plugs coming from the harness that i'm not sure where they go, i'll attach a few pictures to give you a better idea.

^^^ Wires coming out of the aftermarket harness

^^^ That is the harness i bought in that picture, it was said to fit by crutchfield. I'm confused about the plugs, where do those go?

^^^ I've attached those wires, and the JVC headunit turns on, but is obviously not connected to the speakers.

Any advice is helpful, thanks to anyone who replys in advance!

The harness has extra wires for a couple things. I believe one of the blue ones is the remote switch for an amp. When I installed my head unit I had several wires left over. The harnesses are probably made for more than just the Celica. Probably for any similar Toyota with Toyota's "premium" sound.

well see that's the thing, i hooked up the ones i could, and the stereo turns on, but its not hooked up to the speakers with just the wires that i have hooked up. Is that the same harness you're using?

I assume your Celica has the "premium" 8 speaker sound system right? What I understand you're trying to say is that the coaxial cable are not plugging into anything. I believe they're supposed to go to your head unit, not to your speakers. The wire harness runs the audio signal to the stock amp, then to the speakers. So I believe you just have to hook up whichever coax cable is left and right speakers to the head's left and right output. This [amazon.com] is the harness I used.

I have the exact same harness you have, would you mind taking a picture of the wire hookup you have in the back of your head unit? I feel like i'm close but i just can't get it. I would be really appreciative.

I have the same year car and I'm having the same problem with the same harness.
It turns on completely but plays no sound. Do I have to do something to the factory amp? I would really appreciate it if someone could explain to me what to do! Thanks!
