This has prolly already been covered but anyway. I have an 03 gt. I was wondering if I could but gts front rotors on and have them fit. Are they the same size?

the bolt pattern is the same, so why not? they say that they are gt specific because they will fit on the gt's stock 15s. that means that they will also fit onto the gts's stock 16s. if they have rotors that are gts specific, that probably means that they wont fit onto the stock gt 15s, because they are too big. in other words, you can probably use gt rotors on a gts, but not gts rotors on a gt. the keyword there was probably. i am not completely sure if it will work.

Yes, you can put GTS rotors on a GT. I think this has been asked/done before. Not trying to be rude, but look it up cause I don't remember.

How thick they are. thanks for all the help. im pretty sure this has been covered before but im tired and have 4 classes tomorrow and still have to do some home work but i have had my stock roters sence march and they already have grooves in them and pads still have a lot of meat on them. doesnt seem right to me so im gonna change them both. thanks again and if a mod or admin thinks this was a waste of time sence it has been covered please erase this thread.

ooo thickness not diameter. i dunno. they are probably the same. the stock rotors shouldnt have grooves on them (unless you are talking about small scrtaches). they should look like the ones on the left. the rotors on the right are powerslot slotted rotors. this is what you should replace yours with (even though i dont undestand why you are replacing them). they will make the car stop quicker and the brakes will have less fade because they cool faster than regualr rotors. they also look cool.

slotted are better. they have more surface area (more braking power), they are stronger, and they are not prone to cracking or breaking (like the drilled rotors).
if your pads are digging into the rotors, you should just have your brakes checks and maybe have the pads replaced. changing the rotors wont fix a problem with your pads.

the 00 GT have different sizes compared to the GTS but any year after 00 have the same size rotors as the GTS. Don;t quote me on that but thats what i have read in the past. If your thinkin about changing you rotors you shoud really reconsider what you are choosing, if i may i would suggest going with slotted, Zinc caoted rotors. The zinc will resist rusting (as Elec said), and the slots will allow the gas build up to be released.

Slotted rotors scrape off new layers of brake pad for ulitmate brake "BITE."
Drilled rotors provide a way for hot gases to escape during hard braking. These rotors have a tendency to crack or warp.

Prime Choice Auto Parts http://www.primechoiceautoparts.com/e-mmyproducts.aspxAccording to their sales tech the 00 Celica GT has 10 inch diameter rotors and the 00 Celica GTS has 10.8 inch diameter rotors. Trading one for the other without changing the caliper mountings will probably cause misalignment of the calipers and pads. You need to consider and look at all the affected parts.
