Hey everyone, I need to know what's going on with my engine, and I know I'll get better opinions on here. Whenever my car is stopped, my steering wheel shakes and I can hear it shaking as well. Also, when I accelerate, after being in idle, my engine has a rumbling sound followed by squeaking. I can't tell whether it's a belt possibly. Any experience or input with this?

Two very quick questions -

1) Have you had your engine mounts checked?

2) What about your steering's rack & pinion system, how is it? Does your steering wheel feel loose or seem to have a bit more play than you remember it having?

When you took your car in for inspection by a guy who can look and test your concerns in-person/IRL, what did they say?

1. Yes, I remember someone told me I may need new engine racks but they never gave me a price.

2. In my opinion, the wheel is not loose. Whenever I turn the wheel, there is little resistance.

When I had it checked, the guy said it was the engine mounts most likely but I was skeptical because he wasn't a Toyota mechanic.
