Car will not go into gear unless you use emergency override button. After it runs and warms up, the aforementioned turn on. The check engine light is on and it DOES have radio and clock. Any TBS for that? Any idea for cause?

Have you plugged in an OBD2 reader to see why the CEL was triggered?
If so, what was that code.

I'm going to make a wild guess and say its related to a heating sensor gone faulty. But without a code, my guess is just a random "could be related" guess.

I will ask some folks that looked at it. I think that I was told that they replaced a couple relays (at no cost to me) but if it continues that I might have to bring it back to replace the ignition and junction box at a cost of $650. I am a bit mistrusting of the info. The shop was a transmission shop and an acquaintance/co-worker suggested that I take it there. They did not return faulty relays to me.
