Hi everyone,

Im new to this place, but I figured I'd give it a try since I'm having issues with my car. I have a 2001 Toyota Celica GT Automatic. Whenever i press the gas pedal the RPM goes up, but the car accelerates really slowly. But once the mph goes up it runs good. So my issue is that accelerates slow and i was wondering if there is something i can do to make it accelerate better. Also i have an aftermarket muffler that's a little big and loud. Is it possible that the muffler makes the car accelerate slow? When i press the gas pedal, the muffler is really loud, but the car is really only starting off at 30mph or so. The check engine light is on but I don't think it has anything to do with it, because at first it had it on, then I replaced a fuel injector, the check engine light then went away for a month or so, then just came back on out of nowhere. All throughout that time the acceleration was still poor.

Sorry I know this is a lot to read, but any help or tips would be appreciated! 🙂

you must use maker muffler (trd or original mufflller or another) Not use aftermarket cheap muffler that make your car makes to slow.....
i was same experience you ...my gts auto muffller was some cheap louder muffler...so i chaned muffler to TRD .and my car was chaned and move faster...
