Although CelicaHobby gets a ton of visitors, the main goal here is to provide a complete resource of information, geared primarily to the 7th gen Celica. There are a few groups on Reddit and Facebook for casual Celica talk. But if you're looking for parts, I'd suggest giving ebay or amazon a quick search.
http://www.celicatech.com used to be a very good 5th Gen primary (but generally all Celicas) forum - but their volume of threads has dropped off tremendously over the past few years. I have (4) 5th Gen Celicas - if you need parts yet - let me know generally what you are needing.
Thanks. I do have a question though. We purchased a 91 GT vert. The factory radio was still installed but not working properly. Replaced with an aftermarket one. Tach quit working. Did they have auto volume or something in the factory radio that used the tach signal?
Hi John here .The activity for fifth generation Celica are rare because they have fallen off the roads here in NZ .There are a few restored ones .There main problem was overheating .My old engines temp gauge started climbing over half way .My coolant pips got clogged because of to much water being topped up .NOT COOLANTS.overheating happened then blown head gasket. Then put in shed on blocks for future project Thanks to our lockdown I have restored it to how it should be .
Well, since this post started, we sold our 5th gen and bought a Chevy colorado 4x4. Or situation changed and we needed a 4x4. Still have my 3rd gen vert. Though, it may go up for sale soon.
There is a 3rd Gen GT in the salvage yard near me, in case you need parts. Looks like it was in a front passenger side impact. Still looks pretty intact. Hopefully your 3rd Gen vert doesn't need anything of any major needs.
