Hi all

Got a bit of an issue. I was driving my 2004 Celica GT last week and the engine light popped on. I took it to a Toyota dealer and it was diagnosed as a VVTI Malfunction. I was told this could be a number of things so they did a more thorough diagnostics test. The test came back and they couldn't find anything wrong at all.

I spoke to the dealer and they said it could be either my OCV or a module.

I picked the car up on Monday and have been driving it for 2 days and so far its been fine. I'm just concerned about the light coming back on. I have done around 100 miles.

Will it come back on and if so how much will it cost to put right?

Thanks

Mines the same I've got a cheap obd code reader n it comes n goes intermittently I'm not an expert but from the research I've done first port of call is cleaning the vvti filter n then poss the vvti module/actuator both easy cheap fixes I believe I haven't got round to it yet n have experienced no I'll effects although it has struggled a bit at test time on emissions tho I think I might b due to o2 sensors

It's been a week and so far it's not come back on yet so fingers crossed!

Thanks
