i just started my car...and for some reason none of the a/c lights or radio lights will come on. the radio still works...but no lights on the center console come on. I am pretty sure i checked all of the fuses...any ideas? Need help as soon as possible.

Your radio lights don't come on either?

nope...the radio light comes on when my headlights are off...but as soon as i put my headlights on (where the radio would normally be brighter) the radio looses all its lights...and so does the entire climate control section. My entire center console has no working lights. TO me it would seem like a fuse but i am almost positive i have checked all of the fuses.

just the center console...everything else is fine. I just re-checked every fuse and they are definately all ok. The center console does not light up at all...while the fuel/speed/RPM and all that stuff still works fine and lights up fine.

Clock - Works normal
Gauges - Works normal
Dome Light - Works normal
Stereo - does not light
A/C controls - do not light
all other lights in center console - do not light

i was gonna say that the nob on the left side of the wheel might be turned down, then meaning all ur lights would go down, but i guess not...

It happened to me. It's a fuse. I'll try to take a pic of it later tonight or tomorrow.

It's definately not a fuse, it's a bad ground. That's why it makes that clicking noise when the lights come on, and the backlights go off.

I'll post a link on how to fix it...

Just do what it says, and have fun.

This is a common problem in our cars. Not sure why it happens, but at least the fix is easy. Just cut some of the plastic wire covering away, and route a wire from an existing ground to the wire that it says to do it to in the post above. Doing so will ground the wire again and fix your problem. You don't have to use a tapping clip, but you can if you want. You can always use electrical tape.
